An image that perfectly encapsulates the role of chance in photography. The intended subject for the photo was just this ornately carved door frame, a traditional feature of homes on the Swahili Coast of Africa. It was pure good fortune that at that exact moment this young girl, with a mixture of trepidation and curiosity emerged into the light.
