Sketchbooks | Argentina

Amaicha, Argentina. Saturday 12th March 2006

Spent the afternoon in a sleepy little corner bar, drinking a litre bottle of Salta Negra, eating empanadas and sketching. The barman kicked me out for his siesta, so I wondered around town a little followed by a stray dog. Walked out of town and up a rocky hill, stopping every ten metres to pluck cactus thorns out of by feet. Followed faithfully by my dog, who by now I had named ‘Gaucho’. Sat down on the highest point, with a 360 degree view. Dusty Amaicha below and out almost over to Tafi Del Valle in the South.
