Key Features of a Nomad Print
Share
Hundreds of people have already found beauty and meaning in their Nomad Prints.
I just made a short video on my brand new YouTube Channel to give anyone whose unfamiliar with my Travel Photography prints a quick tour of the key features.
You can watch the video here:

Let me 'deep dive' in to some of those features in this blog post.
Paper
The photographs are printed on a semi-matte paper for the best possible 'finish'.
Matte Paper has the quality of a non-reflective surface and usually a natural texture, but sometimes photos printed on these papers lack the 'pop' that you would experience when viewing the same image on a digital screen for example. In my opinion matte papers are better suited for reproducing paintings, posters or illustrations.
High Gloss Papers on the other hand generally give a more realistic impression, more depth in the blacks and a fuller range overall of light and colour. The main disadvantage of printing on Gloss Paper is that any direct light source in the room the print is displayed, natural light from a window or artificial light from lamps will obscure the image by its reflection.
For these reasons we can usually achieve 'the best of both worlds' by printing on a semi-matte paper.
Passepartout Border
From the very first one made, Nomad Prints have always been presented in a white passepartout.
This French term can cause some confusion, but in this context it simply refers to the white cardboard border which surrounds the image. This 'mat' serves a couple of purposes.
Firstly it protects the photograph, encasing it and especially when framing a print creates a space between the delicate surface of the photo and the glass or plexiglass of the frame.
The other role of the passepartout is decorative. The introduction of white space around the image draws the eye in and allows it to stand out, even when mounted in space with visual distractions, like bold colours or patterns.
Frames are often sold with a passepartout included. Although it's rarely the correct size for the artwork you are trying to display. With a Nomad Print you can discard that one and enjoy the convenience of already having your print Ready-to-Frame.
Artist's Signature
In an age of digital downloads, print-on-demand, and even NFTs, it has become increasingly rare for an artwork to be hand signed by the artist.
This simple personal touch is an important feature that no Nomad Print is complete without. It represents the fact that each one has been photographed, crafted and mounted by me, for you.
Various Sizes
Nomad Prints are available in 5 standard sizes.
The smaller sizes are available from the pop-up shop-on-wheels and the larger formats available on the online store.
Each size corresponds to a standard frame size, making them really easy to display.
Feel free to contact me for custom sizes or shapes. Some of the images also work really well as square prints.

Looking for a piece of unique Travel Photography that captures your favourite place? Or just something to fit the colour scheme of your freshly decorated bedroom?
There are Nomad Prints from every continent, and they are searchable by place, by theme, by colour or by keywords. Something for all Travel Lovers.
